Small Group Meet-Up

Small groups are where it’s at!  If you are not connected in a small group or class, consider joining one today.

Why?

Because connection with others is so essential. We were created for community. It’s where we can encourage one another, enjoy life together, grow together in our journey with God, and just have fun doing what we love to do!

What are small groups and classes?

Small groups and classes are weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly get-togethers where groups of between 3-15 people gather. Groups meet at the church, or in homes. There are all kinds of groups. For example, you’ll find bible study groups, groups built around common interests, groups that meet for prayer or to serve in some way. Even groups that meet to fix things around the church. (So long as coffee is provided!). All are led by leaders who care about people and who desire to grow in their walk with God.

What should I expect?

Friendship, growing in your faith, learning the scriptures, sharing and receiving encouragement, caring and praying for one another, and laughing and feasting together is what happens in groups!

Who Can Join?

Small groups and classes are open to anyone.

currently doing a study on the life of Jesus as recorded in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, & Luke.

Wednesdays

Hilighters: A Children's group meets 7:00 to 8:00 pm, during the school year.

For children grades 2nd
to 6th (ages 8 to 12 years).   We meet weekly for fun, games, quizzes, snack and social interaction -  all with a central Bible theme.  All children within this age range (approximately) are welcome to come join the fun!

It's a non-threatening environment which allows the young people to explore their relationship with Jesus and how they can apply that to their every day lives.  We aim to create a safe space each week to allow them to talk and share what is important to them.  It's not school and there are no teachers; the group is facilitated by adult leaders who want the young people to discover how much God loves them. Our prayer is that they leave each week knowing how important they are to God - just as they are.  If you have questions or concerns talk with the ministry leader Julie Bain.

Prayer Time: Adults meet the first Wednesday of every month from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The group prays for concerns in the congregation, community, nation, and abroad.  Bertha Lamark leads this ministry.

Thursdays

Most of the year the Women's Bible Study Group meets weekly at the church from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  To confirm the group is meeting check the church calendar or contact the leader, Carol Rosenberger.  The group is currently studying "Celebration of Discipline" by Richard J. Foster.
