John Sorensen

John Sorensen is recently retired. He is happily married to Evelyn. They moved to New Paltz from Long Island. Their children are grown; they have two sons and a daughter who is a full-time missionary in Honduras. John is currently a board member and leads Sunday morning music worship. In his free time he enjoys playing basketball, hiking, dancing with Evelyn, and traveling to Honduras to visit his daughter, Jamie. His favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:6-8, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things."
